Interagency Gang Task Force Regional Teams As part of its response to a request from the Board of Supervisors to recommend new initiatives to target gang crime and violence, the Interagency Gang Task Force sought to address gang violence by creating local approaches and responses. To facilitate this approach, the County was divided into regions (See Cities/communities by region). Representatives from each region were invited to collectively meet and attempt to resolve gang violence issues within the region. Individuals representing community based organizations, education, law enforcement, prosecutorial agencies, parks and county and local government comprise the membership of the regional teams. The teams are currently working on finalizing team rosters, recruiting additional members, obtaining resource provider information, identifying gang operations and issues and addressing specific problems associated with gang activity.
